El-Hakim Mosque is the second largest Fatimid mosque in Cairo. The mosque was completed by Al-Hakim in 990 by the Caliph Al Aziz Billah. Building this mosque started in 990 and and was finished by al-Hakim bi-Amr Allah. It is a major Islamic religious site in Cairo, the Mosque is located in "Islamic Cairo", on the east side of Muizz Street. It is constructed of brick with stone facades and minarets.
